About
A heavy-shouldered wolf bred half again the size of its wild cousins, black-grey coat crossed with harness scars and one ear notched by a training whip. It moves at a tireless lope, jaws parted, reading the road the way a soldier reads a map.
Wargs are what the Marches' raiders made of the mountain wolves: bigger, meaner, and broken to saddle and signal-whistle. They run the trails ahead of raiding parties to flush prey into ambush — and a warg that loses its rider does not go home, it just stops waiting for permission.
