About
A tall figure in a shepherd's weather-cloak that hangs wrong, as if draped over a frame of crook-handles rather than shoulders. Where a face should be there is only a hollow that swallows lantern-light, and from that hollow comes a call pitched below hearing — felt in the teeth, answered by every warg on the fell.
Trappers noticed it before the stewards did: wolves hunting in silence, traps sprung facing the wrong way, packs moving like a flock being walked to market. The Hollow Shepherd is what remains of a drover's oath to bring every animal home — an echo from the Last Court wearing the shape of the duty, herding predators now that the herds are three centuries gone. It does not hate the wolves it commands. It simply cannot stop bringing something home.
