About
A broad corpse-knight in blackened funerary plate, face hidden behind a mourning-veil of chainmail, dragging a square-tipped executioner's sword. Cult sigils are riveted straight through the armor into the bone, and it moves with the terrible patience of something that has nowhere better to be.
When a knight of old Caelmor is dug up whole, the Ashen Choir does not sing it back to sleep — it rivets its sigils through the dead man's plate and posts him at the aisle's end. Blackguards are the cult's vergers and executioners both: they escort the processions, guard the chanters, and behead whatever interrupts the hymn. The mourning-veil is a courtesy. The sword is the liturgy.
