About
A long, low-slung reptile the size of a hound, its obsidian scales glowing red along every seam as if barely containing the furnace within. Its claws hiss against stone and its breath comes in little puffs of smoke.
Cinder salamanders bask in magma the way other beasts bask in sun, their blood running hot enough to ignite dry brush. They are territorial ambush hunters, bursting from ash-dunes to bite and cling, searing whatever they catch before scuttling back to the heat.
