About

A hunched figure of weathered grey stone, all jagged wings, horns, and claws, indistinguishable from the statuary it hides among until it moves. When it wakes, granite grinds on granite and its eyes kindle with a dim, hateful light.

Gargoyles are bound elementals fused into carved stone, set as tireless guardians over tombs, vaults, and forbidden halls. They wait motionless for years, perfectly patient, then erupt into sudden violence the moment an intruder crosses the threshold they were made to watch.
