About
A massive wolf the size of a pony, all corded muscle under a coat of storm-gray fur. It lopes with unnerving speed and intelligence, hackles raised and fangs bared in a low snarl.
Dire wolves hunt in tightly coordinated packs, circling and harrying until they can drag a victim down. Swift and clever, they single out the weak and the straggler — and the howl that signals the kill is often the last thing prey hears.
